Destress with Coloring


Heading back to school or prepping the kiddies to go back to school can be a stressful time. Transitioning from a relaxed, unstructured environment to a highly regimented schedule five days a week can be an overwhelming time for everyone involved. That is why today's printable comes with the opportunity for stress relief.



I have long relied on coloring as a way to quickly calm myself. I usually kept a run of the mill character coloring book on hand, but over the past couple of years, adult coloring books have been increasingly popular. Some research has indicated that coloring is beneficial in stress relief, creating periods of mindfulness and creative flow (other sources reject the claim).  Regardless of what science and/or pop culture says, coloring has been helpful for me.
