Housewarming Gift Ideas

Ah spring. It is the season of new beginnings, which means most weekends are filled with graduations, weddings, baby showers, and housewarming parties. I've been on the hunt for the perfect housewarming gift that is practical and functional for new homeowners and perhaps a little nicer than something they might buy themselves.

1. Chips and dip never looked so good! This horn appetizer dish with a sculpted metal handle is the epitome of the phrase "elevate the everyday."

2. Chambray napkins can do it all. Whether they are put to use as napkins, place mats, or food storage, chambray napkins manage to look classy and country at the same time.

3. Everyone needs water and this Soma water pitcher delivers in a beautifully designed package.

4. Reusable cold brew coffee system. Who doesn't love cold brew coffee?!

5. I'm a big fan of trays (think breakfast in bed, gathering guest room supplies, or an impromptu cocktail spread) and this clear acrylic tray I received for Christmas continues to be a favorite. Bonus points for being inexpensive.

6. Weck jars are great for canning enthusiasts, but they are also great for storing dried goods like loose leaf tea and spices.

7. A horn spreader makes an impressive statement at parties and for daily use to spread jam, soft cheeses, and caviar.

8. Turkish towels are all the rage right now for good reason. They dry quickly, take up less space than traditional towels, and are light enough to also be used as a picnic blanket or shawl. Stick with a neutral color to adapt with potentially changing design styles.

9. Breathe life into a new space, literally, with an easy to take care of and air purifying houseplant like a peace lilly.

10 & 11. Moving into a new place, chances are good small, inexpensive toiletries and cleaning supplies were tossed out (hey, moving is exhausting). Replace them with premium versions for the homeowners, so they can have a little bit of luxury every day while living out of boxes. My personal favorite when it comes to luxurious soap and hand lotion is L'Occitane Lavender.
