How To Layer

The old saying March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb definitely holds true in the Northeast. It's hard to know how to dress when morning temps feel like winter and daytime may feel like spring come early. Add in unknown HV/AC conditions in offices and classrooms for extra confusion. The key to feeling comfortable no matter what the weather/heater/air conditioner brings is layering. Here's my basic late winter into early spring guide.

Layer 1:
Lightweight base layers will keep you cool when temps soar. J. Crew Factory Necklace (similar)/ Gap T/ Ann Taylor Loft Leggings

Layer 2: A jersey knit cardigan is still breathable while adding an extra layer of warmth.
Awkward pose not included. Gap Cardigan

Layer 3: A quilted vest adds serious warmth without much bulk. As my partner would say, it's an 'organ cover' which means it locks in your body heat and keeps you feeling cozy. J. Crew Vest

Layer 4:
Last but certainly not least, top it off with a stellar leather jacket, the ultimate in all season outwear. Plus it ups the cool factor, even if you're a nerd like me ;) Banana Republic Jacket (similar)
